Semen Production Centres, Bull
mother farms and AI centres have been provided necessary infrastructure
like precision equipments, high pedigreed bulls and cryo containers for
production of quality frozen semen and intensification of AI through
door step delivery of Artificial Insemination service.
A bull calf rearing centre has been started at Nandini Sperm Station, Hessarghatta where annually around 100 HF and 25 – 30 jy bull calves selected under the field performance recording are reared. Bull calves from HF cows having lactation milk yield record above 5500 Kgs. and jersey coes having lactation milk yield of 3500 Kgs. and above only are selected and reared. Bull calves will be made available to sperm station of other states based on availabiality. Availabiality of bull calves and other details may be obtained from the Director, Nandini Sperm Station, Hessarghatta, Bangalore-89, Ph. 080-28479078, 28479242, 28479059
